1. What is ProPay?

ProPay has led the market in providing simple, safe and affordable credit card processing and electronic payment services for businesses ranging from small, home-based entrepreneurs to multi-billion-dollar enterprises.

2. Do I need a ProPay Account to pay someone who uses ProPay?

No, all you need is a credit or debit card.

3. When should I issue a chargeback, or dispute the charge?

ProPay suggests that, you contact the seller before initiating a chargeback. You should only dispute a charge if one or more of the following apply:

•    You never received the item you purchased

•    The item you purchased was damaged when it arrived

•    The item originally listed by the seller was different from the item you received.

The seller will be motivated to work out a settlement with you, as there are negative impacts to having chargebacks against them as a merchant. Please note that when you dispute a charge, it is not accepted automatically. If your reasons for a chargeback do not meet the standards listed above, chances are that your dispute will not be successful. Your options for recourse are designed to protect you from intentional fraud on the part of the seller.

If you have trouble with a merchant who uses ProPay, you are welcome to contact ProPay Customer Service where we will be happy to provide you with additional contact information so that you can contact the merchant directly.

4. How do I dispute a charge that was processed with ProPay?

You can use the established dispute procedures that are already available with your credit card. This involves contacting the card-issuing bank directly.

5. I have a ProPay Account. Can I simply transfer funds to another ProPay user?
